Tentative Nitemare Re-Design

Description

As some of you may know, Nitemare is one of my main OCs. She has even gone through some costume changes in the past before entering the :icondeviantuniverse: , and once again I am considering changing her costume. This time it's a bit of a smaller shift...I had never been satisfied with her tiny circular logo which appeared on the orange band of her top so I felt like I should redesign it. The gloves felt a bit excessive over the long sleeves, and frankly it would be rather warm when moving around a lot. A backless top would make more sense for her wings, but as a character she is uncomfortable with showing her back and shoulders due to the fact that her gargoyle's mark is located there. I was tempted to turn her top into a leotard or some sort of one-piece bodysuit but having a separate top makes more sense due to the fact that she can grow a tail...which would put a large hole in her uniform in a bad spot. It does pull the band of her shorts down a little, but the belt helps them stay and the shirt allows her tail some room to move, as well as privacy. I also got rid of her orange highlights as a sign of her wanting to grow up and get a little more serious about being a superhero as a career. (not too serious though...it's Krythin after all) In this new design I wanted to include more of the scalloped edges as a reflection of her wings, which are both on her top and her boots. After finishing it, though, I know it will remind everyone of the Batman symbol, myself included. I like it, but maybe it's time to go back to the drawing board.

Feel free to post your thoughts on this.

*EDIT: After changing the top part to orange it actually didn't feel too odd...I dunno...

The symbol is fine, but if you use too much black, people will really think Batman.
